Generalized Quasi - likelihood ( GQL ) Inference

چکیده
QL Estimation for Independent Data. For i = 1, . . . ,K, let Yi denote the response variable for the ith individual, and xi = (xi1, . . . , xiv , . . . , xip) ′ be the associated p−dimensional covariate vector. Also, let β be the p−dimensional vector of regression effects of xi on yi. Further suppose that the responses are collected from K independent individuals. It is understandable that if the probability distribution of Yi is not known, then one can not use the well known likelihood approach to estimate the underlying regression parameter β. Next suppose that only two moments of the data, that is, the mean and the variance functions of the response variable Yi for all i = 1, . . . ,K, are known, and for a known functional form a(·), these moments are given by

A Survey on Quasi-Likelihood Estimation Approaches for Longitudinal Set-ups
The Com-Poisson (CMP) model is one of the most popular discrete generalized linear models (GLMS) that handles both equi-, overand under-dispersed data. In longitudinal context, an integer-valued autoregressive (INAR(1)) process that incorporates covariate specification has been developed to model longitudinal CMP counts. However, the joint likelihood CMP function is difficult to specify and thu...
متن کاملBias corrected generalized method of moments and generalized quasi-likelihood inferences in linear models for panel data with measurement error
For the estimation of the parameters involved in a linear dynamic mixed model for panel data, it has been shown recently by Rao, Sutradhar, and Pandit (2012, Brazilian J. of Probability and Statistics, Vol. 26, 167–177) that the so-called generalized quasi-likelihood (GQL) approach produces more efficient regression estimates as compared to the generalized method of moments (GMM) approach. Thes...
متن کاملJoint modeling of Time to Event Data and Repeated Ordered Longitudinal Scores Subject to Linear Mixed Model
Longitudinal studies often receive joint information on time to some event and serial outcome measures. This demands a joint modeling of outcomes as well as cause specific survival time using the observed covariates. In many occasions, data not only involve repeated measures but are also collected on ordered categorical responses. Further in view of the longitudinal variation on the ordinal out...
متن کاملInference for the Type-II Generalized Logistic Distribution with Progressive Hybrid Censoring
This article presents the analysis of the Type-II hybrid progressively censored data when the lifetime distributions of the items follow Type-II generalized logistic distribution. Maximum likelihood estimators (MLEs) are investigated for estimating the location and scale parameters. It is observed that the MLEs can not be obtained in explicit forms. We provide the approximate maximum likelihood...
متن کاملUsing Genome Query Language (GQL) to uncover genetic variation
Motivation:With high throughput DNA sequencing costs dropping below $1, 000 for human genomes, data storage, retrieval, and analysis are the major bottlenecks in biological studies. In order to address the large-data challenges, we advocate a clean separation between the evidence collection and the inference in variant calling. We define and implement a Genome Query Language (GQL) that allows f...
